We're living in the age of technology. It is a very wide range of study that encompasses many other fields such as computing, programming and technology. Many job-seeking companies demand for IT professionals who are knowledgeable in performing variety of duties such as programming, software design and other tasks that are related to computers. ICTM people are usually associated with call center agents since the word "communication" is incorporated in it. Well, ICTM is just more than that. One must be well-versed in programming languages such as Java, Java Script, C++, C , HTML, and SQL. It is also an advantage if one is proficient in Dream Weaver, Photoshop, Flash and the like. The aforementioned skills are usually in demand the corporate businesses now.
In this fast-paced, dog-eat-dog world we're living in, I believe that developing the non-technical skills is really a must. Achievements are not only measured by excellent scholastic records. To be able to cope up with the arduous tasks, ICTM professionals (or even an apprentice) should be used to multi-tasking and working under pressure. Of course, written and verbal skills should be really exemplary to entice more clients. Leadership role and team work will also be an essential factor in this field because it is the key for a larger network of people who can share ideas for a greater innovative creations. Finally, positive attitude and dedication is the secret for a sweet success.
I am just beginning my race. I know I have a lot to develop; lot more skills to acquire. I should learn grace under pressure so that i would be able to think clearly even if work gets really demanding. IT's really a difficult and intricate job but it's worth all the pain in the end.
